Intro to Ex Corde Ecclesiae

The encyclical on Catholic universities and universities in general by Servant of God Pope John Paul II. The title translates to: From the Heart of the Church.It was written to expand and clarify Book 3 Title 3 Chapter 2 of the Code of Canon Law (http://www.vatican.va/archive/ENG1104/__P2O.HTM) . It was written in part in response to such ideologies (pronounced heresies) as those expressed in the Land O'Lakes Statement (I have not read it and it is not very high on my reading list but it can be read here->) (http://consortium.villanova.edu/excorde/landlake.htm). Ex Corde Ecclesia sets the Bishop as the head, Christ as the center, and Sound Theology as the unifier of the University.
